A slideshow film by Elinor and John Thompson based on their own experience traveling in Europe, Canada and the US even though John is restricted to a wheelchair due to his progressive MS condition.
Awesome information. One of my concerns are bathrooms in restaurants, are they accessible? Have you been to Germany?
Ellie…………………you are opening the world to people who may feel they can’t go to these places!!! Go, John, Go!
You made a very good point with the comment you made about speaking up. Most hotels I’ve stayed in don’t even have a transfer bench in the bathroom for the shower. Even if it’s a roll in shower, but if you ask them they usually have some around the hotel. If you don’t speak up however, they won’t get it for you. I’ve also made suggestions before about different things and they had no idea the way they were doing things didn’t work before I mentioned them.
