Never been on vacation before. Should I go?

I help care for them both. This may sound pathetic but I’ve never spend a night away from home since age 9. I have this anxiety that something will happen.
My cousin who lives in San Fran recently invite me out to visit since I have this Fri-Mon off. The plane ticket is $423. but he is willing to pay for the hotel. I’ve never been on a plane before and the thought of going terrifies me. I’m afraid something will happen. I’ve always wanted to go to California so part of me does want to go. If I do go, I need to go this week. I am picking up another job to help the family finances which aren’t great. My grandmother recently got a notice from the tax collector saying her property was considered for tax sale if she didn’t pay. We put something on it but need to make an effort to pay something off monthy. If I go, I would put this trip on my credit card.
Should I GO?
The only thing one knows for sure is that you end up “6 feet under”. Nobody can escape that. What you want to do until that time comes is your decision. You could live in a concrete bunker and keep the drapes drawn.
Of course, you should make the trip. You’re an adult, bite the bullet forget your fears and just go for it. What’s the worst that could happen?
A plane crash? You’re better off in a plane crash than living your life in a bunker.
Sounds to me that your family has held you back all this time. Time to start living for you. You didn’t create the problem, why should you solve it?
Somebody making you feel guilty? You’ve become the perfect victim.
