Las Vegas fun places even for children?

Posted: September 9th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Travel For Disabled | Tags: , , , | 4 Comments »

So my family is deciding to take a vacation to Las Vegas, because we’ve never been there before. And since we’re bring the whole family, I’m just wondering if there are any places where everybody can have fun! Our youngest is 12. And I am the oldest at 16. Nobody is handicapped or pregnant. And cost MAY have to come into consideration. Depends on how high of a price we’re talking about.

Don’t worry about travel. Just places to spend time together and such.

A place to stay would be Circus Circus as they are geared for families with kids. Plus they are the cheapest on the strip.

Some kid friendly things to see and do:

    Adventure Dome at Circus Circus
    MGM lion habitat
    Mandalay Bay Shark Reef
M&M World next to the MGM Grand
Stratosphere rides on top of the tower (not for small kids or weak hearts)
Animitronic shows at Caesars Forum Shops
    Roller Coaster outside NYNY
Bodies the exhiibit at the Luxor
Titanic: The Artifacts Exhibition at the Luxor
    Motion Rides at Excalibur
Tournament of Kings at the Exaclibur
Mac King Comedy Show at Harrahs
Lance Burton Magic Show at Monte Carlo
Many shows are kid friendly – check each show on this site for age restrictions.

In Mandalay Bay there is an aquarium that is cool to walk thru.

In Mirage there are more animals and aquariums.

there is something in almost every hotel on the strip for the under 21 crowd. New York New York has a roller coaster as well as the Stratosphere. Tons of shopping. even just walking down the strip can be entertaining for people watching. Fremont street in Downtown Las Vegas also has the LED light canopy shows that are cool

And of course lots of shows to see. Blue man group, Cirque Du Soleil, etc.

I would recommend Circus Circus manor/motel over their hotel. You have a pool right outside the rooms. And you can enjoy the Adventure Dome (indoor) Amusement Park and the arcade area.

Fun things to do and you don’t have to stay at that hotel: Shark Reef Mandalay Bay, Sigfried Roys Secret Garden at Mirage plus the volcano, scream rollercoaster NYNY, Lion Exhibit (free) MGM Grand and nearby (outside) Game Works, 101 stories atop Stratosphere there is a view of the entire valley and 3 great rides, NASAR ride Sahara, and so much more.

    That depends on you.

I would never bring my kids to Vegas, unless they were under 3, or over 16. Everywhere you go people are drunk, women are half naked, and other such adult avitives. Cant we just leve Vegas as it was supposed to be .. and adult playground? And trust me, people do not change the way they act around kids in Vegas. Swearing, smoking, drinking, ect ect! Just be prepared…
