Seven days might be a little long, but there's a program in the US called the Cool Kids foundation who looks after kids who are disabled.

Hospices are available in the UK to provide respite care for the families of disabled children. I'm not sure if they exist in the USA or elsewhere in the world, but generally these are charitable institutions.

Seven days is a long time for a parent to leave their child - I would collect information and pass it to the parent, without any suggestions about the amount of time they should leave the child in respite. You might upset them and make them feel that you think that they are not coping.
