    You can actually find a lot of vacation listings on ebay, some you can bid on, others are under real estate just to give info on them and they already have a set price. Search for local real estate office because in major tourist destinations many people use realtors to rent their properties instead of going through the hassle themselves. Look up the local chamber of commerce or tourist center and sign up for info guides and you will get tons and tons of brochures from all kinds of resorts, hotels, home rentals etc
    my preferred method is the tourist center it is easier to compare prices in your own home and there is no pressure from realtors.

    Ok, here is where I would look;

    1. WDW yeah I know, not your first choice and it would be expensive.

    2. Check with real estate people in your area. Depending on the time of year time shares pop up and people wanting to recoup some of their investment often try to sell there time slot.

    3. Ebay, Yahoo, and travel agents.

    Under search, press in, (orange county, Florida vacation rentals)
    It has a wide selection of nice rental places. If that doesn’t work for you go under Lake County or Volusia County. Hope this helps.
