Honestly, it depends on what your lacking now. Your short game is usually where you can gain the most strokes by improving. And the difference in the ball will probably not net more than 5-10 yards on your drive. Since a 165 yard approach isn’t all that much easier than a 170 I would lean toward feel and spin. I use a Pro-V1x because I can hit it from 200 out with my 4 iron and get it to stick on the green.

As a 12 handicap, you should use the Nike One Tour D. The Tour is for someone with a very fast swing speed and you won’t get the kind of distance with it as you would the Tour D. It has enough feel to it for you around the greens. I’ve used both and the Tour spins too much(it’s the fastest spinning ball on the market).
