Young Man !! Do you realize that you are better than Tiger Woods was at that age? I am certain that the talent cannot be wasted. Get into every tournament for juniors that you can because you will win most of them. Good Luck !!!
get in as many touraments as you can this summer > playing in competition will help you the most >
Well, the previous advice about getting into many tournaments is all well and good, as honing your skills in competition is certainly adviseable.
There will come a time, however, when you’ll either need to play on the Nationwide TOUR, or give the PGA TOUR Qualifying Tournament a shot.
Perhaps you’re interested in college? You can further hone your skills by getting into a great collegiate program.
Either way you slice it, if you have any success at all, as an amateur, you’d be noticed by important people on the PGA TOUR. Sponsors’ Exemptions could possibly be tendered, and you’d have a shot that way.
Googie is gassing your ego. Tiger Woods was a scratch golfer at 6 years old. I would continue on the track you are currently on. You definitely have room to improve so work with a teaching pro(which I’m sure you’ve been doing) and continue to be dedicated.
Keep working on it
You should play for your school teams, and play in college. Hitting those numbers on your local course is onething, put playing those number on a different course every week, four days a week, with different grass, different sand, different turns, etc., is quite another. You may be very good, but your a VERY long way from turning pro.
certainly you can go a pro!
The first thing you need to do is talk to your local club pro. he or she may be able to give you information on qualifying school. from there its a crap shoot. There must be several minor tours beneath the PGA, but I am sure you have to go to Q-school first
good luck
