That is sad, you would think that they would have some kind of home nurse come to check on her and help her with errands……You would hope that if she had family, they wold be helping her…….

It is a good thing you came along at the right time to help her out……That was very kind of you……

May you be blessed, no good deed goes unpunished……

this is a greedy n selfish world. its actually this granny’s brothers or sons or uncles or hubby’s duty to take care of her. in the world its disgusting as people age they r dumped in old age homes. y? parents wen the r young took care of us n wen they need help n support during old age we just dump them somewhere n lead our life this is insanity.

were are not with humans everyday! so we don’t know if they do sit out side or not!

my question is how is she driving with no legs!
she must have money to get one of those speicial cars made for the handy capped .. if she has money to get one of those i’m sure she has money to get help!

what you did is good! and you would be supprised of all the humans who would of done the same!
there are nice peeps out there ignore the bad ones and more of the good ones come out of the woods!

Ive helped a lady that I didnt know do her shopping, because she was in a wheelchair, and couldnt reach a lot of the items she needed. I am kind hearted, and like to help when I can. I bet it made you feel really good to help her out, didnt it? There are programs that help people with disablities. I have worked for Abilities Unlimited, and United cerebral Palsy. There are probably more in your area, But poeple may not know much about them. I think you did the right thing!

I cannot feel sad for this woman. In my late teen’s, I bagged groceries at the local market. Every week, this guy that had no legs, rolled in his wheel chair and got all his groceries. He put them in the basket, and he got them out of the basket onto the turn-table at check-out. The only assistance that he needed was getting the grocery bags from the basket into his van. His van was specially modified so that he could drive it WITH NO LEGS.

The handi-capped spaces in the front of the store are there for a reason, and Lord knows that there are far too many in front of Wal-mart stores.

This woman is feeling pitty upon herself and is “using” other people to make herself feel better. If she’s able to drive the van, she sure as heck is able get out of the van, and into the store to buy a yogurt!

Don’t feel sad! I’m certain that if the woman does need assistance for other household duties, she has it. More than likely, she just had a craving for the yogurt and drove to the store, but it was just so much trouble for her to actually get out and get it that she decided to take her chances on finding a kind soul such as yourself to help her out. Let it give you a smile, knowing that you helped someone out that day! If she has the specially modified van, she more than likely is accustomed to getting out and about on her own for errands, and it likely gives her a sense of freedom to be able to do so in most instances without always having to have a personal assistant with her.
