More and more people are choosing to go on a caravan holiday these days. This is a fantastic way to get a break from every day life. But if this type of holiday is totally new to you then it would not be uncommon for you to be asking ‘how will I get through this’? In this article you will find the ideal survival guide to caravan holidays
Some people are concerned with how they are going to keep clean on a caravan holiday. Getting a shower installed in the caravan is possible however, it can be expensive. Thankfully most caravan sites have shower rooms so a lot of people will just use these. If you do not intend to be staying near a caravan site then a great solution is to have a wash in a river or even in the sea talk about going back to nature. Some people will even just use a couple of buckets of water to wash themselves.
With most caravans not having washing machines or tumble dryers, clean clothes is another issue that some people have. When I want to clean my clothes, I will use two buckets and fill one with warm water and detergent and put clear water in the other one to rinse the clothes. However, most caravan sites will have a laundry room with washing machines that you can use.
A lot of people also worry about cooking in a caravan. I prefer not to cook in the caravan because I find that the smell of food tends to linger. If you want to cook your food outside then it might be a good idea to take a portable gas cooker with you. It is also possible to buy a portable electric cooker but you need to realise that if you do this, it will probably eat your caravan’s electricity. If you really want to have the whole natural experience then lighting a campfire is also possible.
For plenty of people, a sunshine holiday break is now expensive so staying in the british isles is their only option. Of these, many elect to stay in caravan or camping parks. Needless to say then that today caravans are quite popular when it comes to these people.
Fall is a busy time for families. Kids start school, fall sporting events start, and before you know it, the holidays are the first time your family connects. Try a Fall getaway for your whole family. For many of us, there can be a fun opportunity close to home where you can spend a short weekend away.
Here’s our top 4 choices. We think you’ll find at least a few that are for all of you!
Camping Trip
State and national parks are beautiful during the fall. The colors are so pretty, bugs have cleared out for the cold weather and there aren’t so many crowds to deal with. Sweater weather is ideal for long hikes on walking trails, a great bike ride, and cooler evenings that you can fill with a campfire or roasting marshmallows.
Go Check Out Your Favorite Sports Team
Maybe a favorite college team is playing against rivals in the next state? Why not secure tickets to the game and support your team on the road? There’s something special about cheering for your team in another team’s stadium. You will enjoy the hanging out with other fans of your team — and tailgaiting before the games is sure to be fun.
Have a Mini Staycation at Home
Do you feel like you’ve been living in the same house but barely connecting with your family because everyone is so busy? Choose a rainy day to stay in the house and spend time with the whole family. No phones or computers — act like you are out of town. Shut off cell phones and cocoon with your clan. Get each family member to pick their favorite movie, video game or board game. Make special foods that everyone loves and reconnect for a day or two. Nastier the weather outside, the more fun it will be staying in together. Be sure your gas furnace is in good working order so if you want to get toasty warm, you won’t have any problems. Since you should have a denver heating and air technician clean and check your furnace before winter anyway, this is a good time to get it done.
Visit a Big City
There’s probably a city within 2-4 hours of you that qualifies as a Big City, complete with great restaurants, stage shows, museums, a zoo, and cool hotels. Plan ahead and choose activities that everyone will enjoy — or at least make sure everyone gets to do 1 or 2 of their favorite things over the course of the weekend.
Gather the gang around to discuss the possibilities. Let everyone have input and make the choices to fit your family’s lifestyle and budget. It’s likely you’ll make some memories that will turn your fall getaways into yearly traditions.
It is really surprising to see that many workers out there “forget” about taking up all of their vacation in a working year and end up only using a week of the three or more that is usually handed out. Stress is the biggest cause of depression nowadays and not taking a vacation is going to result in a lot of stress, so take some time off!! A lot of people don’t know what to do on a day off so they will simply leave it at not taking time off! Here are just a few things you could be doing instead of working!
What To Do in A Day
Instead of fussing over plane tickets and spending a small fortune on a hotel, why not just take a single day off?. You can get pampered in a variety of ways and they include spa days, going out for a day worth of shopping or even going to one of those hairdressers in Plymouth!
How About A Four Day Weekend
Another great option that many people take is to ask for the Friday and Monday of a week off so that they can head off on a long weekend away. You can choose a variety of things to do over a long weekend from walks in the country to hotels in Staffordshire!
The Big Vacation
One of the favourite options out there is to just book a couple of weeks away from the country so you can head off to somewhere new. Contrary to belief, a relaxing holiday doesn’t have to be one that is sat around a swimming pool. Relaxation can be had depending on who you are as a person, climbing, walking and skiing can all be very soothing!
Of course if nothing sounds great why not simply go out for dinner and have Chinese food in Plymouth.
It doesn’t matter which of these options you end up taking, the body and mind will appreciate the rest!
This is a trip that I took with my sister to Bosnia and Herzegovina in April, 2008. We rented a car in Sarajevo, and drove through several countries (including Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Macedonia, Kosovo, Bulgaria, and Serbia). We had connecting flights in Germany and Slovenia…and spent a bit of time in these countries as well. My original plans were to visit Argentina, but I couldn’t get there and back on my US Airways frequent flier miles. After many, MANY hours on the phone with the US Air Gold Desk, I finally asked, “Well, where on Earth CAN I go with my miles?” The answer: Bosnia and Herzegovina. So, we packed our bags and headed to Sarajevo! Is it crazy to go to Bosnia for vacation? Well, most of our friends and family thought so. I tell you what, though. I’d go back there in a heartbeat! It was inexpensive, the food was fantastic, and the people are very warm and generous. Hopefully, after watching the video, you’ll agree that the Balkan countries make for a great vacation destination! As always, PLEASE leave comments! It took hours and ?&! hours to put this video together. I want to know what you think!
