“Big Break # / Weekend Warriors”……. contestants would be true amatures (no tour experience of any kind / or teaching pros), with handicaps ranging form maybe 5 to 15 or 10 to 20. They would play for prizes like cash, equipment, golf vacations, etc., etc….. To keep with the Big Break concept….a grand prize could be a round of golf at Augusta with Tiger Woods or a spot playing in the Pro-Am at Pebble Beach.
I would watch it and play in it if I had the chance to. What do ya think? I already sent an e-mail to TGC about the idea.

Mario Laguna-Guerrero had been dating his 17-year-old girlfriend for two years and even lived with her and her mother before he made a decision that would change their relationship forever.Laguna, struggling to repay a debt to smugglers who brought him into the country from Mexico, decided to become a pimp — driving his girlfriend to migrant labor camps in Hillsborough County, Florida, and selling her for sex.
Over four months in late 2009, as many as 80 men slept with the teenage girl while Laguna pocketed $25 a head. He later pressured his girlfriend to recruit high school classmates to work as prostitutes too.
Law enforcement agents arrested Laguna in April and charged him with sex trafficking of a minor, a federal crime.

According to the affidavit, Laguna, 25, said his girlfriend, who’s a U.S. citizen, agreed to help him pay off his debt by having sex for cash. But the girl, who has a mental disability and is only identified as “Victim #1,” told detectives separately, “I don’t wanna do this.”
Investigators determined Victim #1 has an IQ of 58, which psychologists described to ABC News as “low-functioning,” adding that she would have difficulties making decisions on her own.
“This girl was rescued from a nightmare which could only have gotten worse,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff David Gee. As national debate rages over ties between illegal immigration and crime, the Laguna-Guerrero case depicts a disturbing trend in human sex trafficking and, some immigration critics say, a consequence of the U.S. failure to secure its borders.
“This is a heinous crime, there are real victims left in its wake, and it’s all unnecessary,” said Ira Mehlman of the Federation of Americans for Immigration Reform. “It could have been prevented if he weren’t here illegally… Legal immigrants go through a vetting process that’s designed to weed out criminals.”
Laguna, who worked as a strawberry picker on a farm near Tampa, first arrived in the U.S. in 2002. He told investigators the smugglers who brought him into the country threatened to cut off his fingers if he did not soon pay his $2,000 debt.

Our church small group is going on a trip to a cabin this weekend. One of the couples owns the house. Every couple was supposed to have their own room. One of the couples were going to bring their trailer and camp.Since they are not bringing the trailer. We get the living room. I don’t stay up late at night and every one else is a midnight owl. I was going to get a hotel but at $250 a night for the holiday. I will have to hang in there. I have to take my dog who is handicapped also. She does not bark, bite, beg, and is extremely trained well. Sits on her blanket until given permission to get off. House trained and kennel trained. We got a little bit of an attitude about taking her. The last time we went with these people I said “next time I pay for a room or don’t go”. Honestly, I may just want to sleep in the back of my truck (with camper shell,no bathroom}. How to make the best of it besides long walks with the dog, books and fishing.?
I am not handicapped just my dog (see pic).
Mary- Last time is was semi miserable but we camped by the creek and sat down there and read books. This time I have a doggy backpack so that it will be easier to take my baby with me. She must be carried on hard surfaces.
I am not exactly the girly girl type. I would rather go fishing with my husband and the guys. I know I will fish a lot.The women want to sit or sleep all day. Not my thing.
I know that I will make the best of it for husbands sake. He really wants to go.I loved it there last year, I just wish it was the three of us.
bettany- The dog did have a wonderful time last time. Once we went to an outside resteraunt. I forgot her leash (she doesn’t use one much). She sat in a chair at the table with her head down. She is so well behaved she does not raise her head to beg.
I have been finding that just because it is a church group does not mean that they are considerate or any thing else. Sad to say.
Thank you every one. This question has been a lot of fun for me.
lrt- What happened last time was that we were camping at a camp and we were made to feel like trash because we were the only ones having to use a tent. One lady was just being mean and rude. So, I spent a lot time fishing and taking my dog for walks.

I want to start a note taking business for college students. I want to do it to mainly help students who are disabled, sick, can’t make it to class, have work conflicts, vacation or any other matter that prevents them from getting the information they need to succeed in school. I know students can just ask their classmates for notes but I know some people don’t. Does anybody think there is a market for this?
