Why do people feel so sorry for the Jews?

Posted: November 28th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Camping | Tags: , , , | 4 Comments »

Why is it when people remember Nazi death camps the remember n one but the Jews. What about the millions of disabled people, homosexuals, gypsies, people other then white, and people who spoke out against the government. Why is it no one remember them, that they only remember the Jews?
Why do people look at what Hitler did but no one mentions that fact that Joseph Stalin murdered over 30 million of his own people.

Why is it that people on welfare/social security always complain about bills but never pay them?

Posted: November 1st, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Travel For Disabled | Tags: , , , , , , , , | 17 Comments »

I was in the social security office to have my name changed and overheard a man complaining that he had not got his check, that he was disabled and needed to pay the electric bill. Within the 10-15 minutes he was in there he said that he was late, he had to meet friends to go on vacation to the mountains and the best way to get ahold of him was his cell phone. Why are working Americans paying for “disabled” people out of their tax money that have the money to go on vacation and pay for cell phones when they complain about necessary bills that needed to be paid?
i never said that this man was old. This was a late 20′s early thirties white male, dressed in very nice clothes and driving a decent car. I am not judging him, I only ask why do the people getting help have to complain, and the people that are making the $5.15 an hour minimum wage make less than the people getting a free check each month and not appreciating it enough? Apologies to the people who are reading this that have welfare and social security and actually do pay all their necessary bills. Including internet access.

question about disabled people?

I would like to know how mute people adapt to not being able to speak. I’m not talking about deaf-mutes because they don’t even exist, deaf people can speak just fine, just training is needed
are there devices that help them communicate with those who don’t know sign language?
What do the parents of mute people go through?
Are there camps for deaf and mute people to experience a normal life?
What is the daily norm for them? Is it the same as the rest of us except that they must speak in sign?
What do they do when they are in need of help?
Are there devices to call the police for them?
Can doctors do anything to give mute people a voice?
What do mute people go through for school?
Do they take classes with deaf people too?
If some aren’t born mute, what could have happened to make them mute?
It’d be nice if you could give me all of this info and more I’m just curious and my engine searches have failed miserably.
If you could give me websites, that would help too
Is there screening or anything to see if a baby is really mute or just quiet?

I work at a camp for disabled children with autism and downs syndrome and such. Our art supply budget was cut so we cant do art now. How do I find people who will help donate either supplies or money so I can go get supplies? I was told I am not allowed to mail out letters to companies and that it all has to be word of mouth. HELP! Can you help? Leave your email address if you can help and want more info.

A question about disabled people and their parents?

Posted: June 23rd, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Camping | Tags: , , , , , | 4 Comments »

What does it say about parents who let their severely disabled people live on their own(usually in a group home but still!)
and what does it say about parents who keep a disabled woman home(has hearing loss, speech problems but not mentally retarded and is highly functional) because they’re afraid she’ll get hurt, make a mistake, or die. they refuse to let her move out or drive. Volunteer yeah but no job.

So is it better to have your disabled child at home protected or on their own? I am constantly reminded that less functional and worse off people than me are living on their own(group homes or not).

I’m 25 and on SSD for 600 a month. If only there were camping furniture for every room I’d maybe move out! I can’t afford to live on my own anyway and I don’t qualify for the group homes because I’m not mentally retarded nor developmentally retarded.
I tried everything I could and they still wouldn’t budge. I made mistakes. They’re keeping me home because I did(not breaking the law mistakes)

My counselor is trying to work on my mom’s fears and get her to get me driving and she only called her once! it’s been a month since my counselor called her.
