New York Hotel Deals

Omni Berkshire Place Luxury Hotel is a fine hotel right in the middle of Manhattan. It has many cool features like multilingual, laundry service, in room movies, a security guard, high-speed internet, a fitness room, mini bar, and it’s even pet friendly!

But it’s a great place to make reservations not just because of how great the hotel itself is but because of its location which puts you within a short walk to so many great things to see and do.

I am a big lover of just strolling the streets of NYC. Even without a particular destination in mind it can be a cool experience because there’s just so much happening. But it’s nice that this hotel is so close to so many interesting things.

If you love to shop then you are going to be pleased because the Omni Berkshire Place hotel is located less than a block from the famous shopping of 5th Avenue. There is many fabulous stores you can check out on 5th Avenue like Saks Fifth Avenue, The Disney Store, Cartier, Luois Vuitton, Kenneth Cole, and Ferragamo Women.

The huge 22 acre Rockefeller Center is just a short walk from the hotel. This is the headquarters for NBC among many other things. Television shows like SNL and Last Call with Carson Daly are filmed here. It also includes Radio City Music Hall where you can see some fabulous shows. Check the venue website to see who will be there during your visit. I was lucky enough to see Radiohead perform there in 1998.

The famous ice skating rink that you have seen on TV and in NYC based movies is also located in Rockefeller Center. It is cool to see something in person after having seen it so many times on the screen.

St. Patrick’s Cathedral is another cool thing to see because it’s remarkable looking! The 19th century architecture is truly stunning!

You may want to think about purchasing a New York Pass if you are going to be in NYC and you want to see a lot of the city. It can save you a lot of time and money on your visit. Read this New York Pass Review to learn about it.

NYC Hotel Deals

NYC is the most exciting city in the world but it’s not just about going to fashion shows, bars, and amazing restaurants. It is also about the incredible things you can see and learn at the many great museums in New York.

Below are five of the most popular museums in NYC. You can visit all five of these museums with the New York Pass (which is also good for other things like the New York food tours.) It’s a good idea to purchase a pass while making your online NYC hotel reservations because it can save you plenty of money and time.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art. “The Met” is the most popular museum in the US with approximately five million visitors per year. The Met has a wide variety of different types of exhibits from ancient Egyptian art to modern art by Jackson Pollock. It is an enormous museum; it is way too big to see it all on just one visit.

The Natural History Museum has a collection so enormous that only small part of it can be displayed despite the huge size of the museum (it’s among the largest museums in the world.) Kids tend to enjoy this museum more than those focused on art. The dinosaur fossils are particularly fascinating to me.

The Museum of Modern Art. MoMA is the most influential museum in the world of modern art. Among the many thousands of works of art at this museum are famous works by Vincent van Gogh, Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol, Henri Matisse, Jasper Johns and Claude Monet.

Madame Tussauds. New York is one of just 15 cities in the world with a Madame Tussauds wax museum. When you’re visiting this place you’ll get a close look at wax statues of well known from the present and the past. They even have one of Lady Gaga.

The Guggenheim Museum is one of the most famous buildings in NYC because of its striking appearance which sets it apart from all the other buildings in NYC. Its collection includes contemporary art along with Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and Modern Art.

Another city with remarkable museums is Paris. This “Hotels in Paris” Deal Finder Website is strongly recommended if you take a trip to Paris.

The Union Square Holiday Market runs throughout the Christmas shopping season each fall and is filled with hundreds of very talented artists in NYC and the surrounding areas. Buy your loved ones great holiday gifts and support local artists at the same time. This Market is outdoors and a very festive experience for you and your family.
