New York Hotel Deals
If you think you would like to really get the most out of your trip to New York City then I suggest getting a “New York Pass” which includes huge savings on NYC sightseeing and tourist activities. What follows are a list of twenty things you can see and do while you are in NYC that are all included as a part of “The New York Pass.” As an extra cool bonus this pass also often lets you skip line which saves you from a long boring wait.
1. Natural History Museum.
2. NYC Bike Rental with “Bike and Roll.”
3. The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
4. Manhatan By Sail.
5. Clipper City Tall Ship Cruises.
6. Go to the top of the Empire State Building.
7. Historic Richmond Town.
8. NBC Studio Tour.
9. Noble Maritime Collection.
10. Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum.
11. Atlantic City Exursion on Academy Bus.
12. See famous sites in Manhattan from television and the movies with On Location Tours.
13. Real Bronx Tour.
14. Manhattan By Sail.
15. Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
16. Weeksville Heritage Center.
17. The Broadway Theater District Walking Tour.
18. Top of the Rock.

20. Uncle Sam’s Fifth Avenue Fashion Tour.
No matter which of these things you decide to do (keep in mind this is not a complete list) or which New York City hotel you decide to stay at make sure you eat many fine meals at unique NYC restaurants during your visit. Don’t waste a single meal eating at some terrible chain restaurant like Applebee’s you can eat at any town in the country.
I lived in New York City for years and the biggest thing I miss about it is the food. There are so many incredibly good restaurants in the city. Among the food I miss most are real Italian food, spicy Indian food (if you’ve never given it a try, you are really missing out), and great Vietnamese restaurants.
When you’re making your online hotel reservations in Manhattan, it is strongly recommended that you always use the New York Hotel Deals website. It allows you to search by many different criteria to find the right hotel for your trip and it searches over 30 hotel sites at once so it always gives you the lowest rates anywhere.

Omni Berkshire Place Luxury Hotel is a fine hotel right in the middle of Manhattan. It has many cool features like multilingual, laundry service, in room movies, a security guard, high-speed internet, a fitness room, mini bar, and it’s even pet friendly!
But it’s a great place to make reservations not just because of how great the hotel itself is but because of its location which puts you within a short walk to so many great things to see and do.
I am a big lover of just strolling the streets of NYC. Even without a particular destination in mind it can be a cool experience because there’s just so much happening. But it’s nice that this hotel is so close to so many interesting things.
If you love to shop then you are going to be pleased because the Omni Berkshire Place hotel is located less than a block from the famous shopping of 5th Avenue. There is many fabulous stores you can check out on 5th Avenue like Saks Fifth Avenue, The Disney Store, Cartier, Luois Vuitton, Kenneth Cole, and Ferragamo Women.
The huge 22 acre Rockefeller Center is just a short walk from the hotel. This is the headquarters for NBC among many other things. Television shows like SNL and Last Call with Carson Daly are filmed here. It also includes Radio City Music Hall where you can see some fabulous shows. Check the venue website to see who will be there during your visit. I was lucky enough to see Radiohead perform there in 1998.
The famous ice skating rink that you have seen on TV and in NYC based movies is also located in Rockefeller Center. It is cool to see something in person after having seen it so many times on the screen.
St. Patrick’s Cathedral is another cool thing to see because it’s remarkable looking! The 19th century architecture is truly stunning!
You may want to think about purchasing a New York Pass if you are going to be in NYC and you want to see a lot of the city. It can save you a lot of time and money on your visit. Read this New York Pass Review to learn about it.

Just because you have a disability does not mean you should not enjoy a full and happy vacation. Even if you are in a wheel chair you can still have the same holiday experiences as other people do. Some locations will be far more suited to you than others. You can enjoy accessible travel to New York without having too many concerns. It is a city that caters to people of all walks of life.
It is for good reason that New York is one of the most famous and exciting cities in the world. You can find an almost unlimited number of interesting attractions to keep you occupied at any time of year. Of course most visitors will choose to visit the city during the summer months. Millions of tourists come to appreciate the sights and sounds of the Big Apple when the days are long. At this time of year the city comes alive; there is an almost electric atmosphere.
There is a range of accommodation available in New York that is suitable for any traveller no matter what their ability or handicap. In the summer it makes sense to book ahead as the best rooms can easily get reserved many months ahead.
You can use the internet to find a hotel that provides the type of access you require. Make sure that if you have problems with your mobility that the hotel you book has provided for the situation. The bathroom should have been designed so that it can still be used independently.
Thankfully New York has implemented rules governing disabled access. You can still visit the most famous sights such as the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty without too much difficulty. Even the public transport system can be used without a headache; of course it will get rather crowded during rush hour.
Under the American’s with Disabilities act it is actually against the law to restrict access to public buildings to people who are differently-abled. This means that all galleries and museums in New York will are within reach of any individual no matter what the extent of their mobility.
Remember to keep in mind the airport at which you will arrive. New York is served by three different airports. There is La Guardia, JFK, and Newark. When booking a hotel find out whether they offer a free pick up and if so from which airport.
