What is an easy and fun place to go for a short summer vacation?

Posted: June 6th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Travel For Disabled | Tags: , , , , | 2 Comments »

My family and I want to go on a short (3-5 day) vacation and we’re not sure where we can go. I have a handicapped person in my family, so she can’t walk by herself. We have gone to places like: Maine, Florida, Vermont etc. but we’re not sure where to go this year.
Any ideas?
Thanks =)
I am leaving from CT. The budget is about no more than $1,000 for the whole trip. Interests: water sports, horseback riding, any activity that is easy to do and not too espensive. Most likely we would drive in a car or possibly take a train, but no ariplane.
=)

Madwheelin’s Paraplegic Wheelchair Transfer To & From 4×4

Here I am transferring into and out of my 2007 Chevrolet 1500 Crew Cab 4×4 Pick-up Truck. I have a rigid frame chair with a folding back. I just put the wheels and the chair between the bucket seats into the back seat, or with the seats folded up onto the floor in the back. Very simple if you have the upper body strength to do it. The only modification I have on my truck is hand controls.
