Why not try holidaying near the tallest building in the world

Dubai wants everything, and they desire the best and biggest of everything that exists on the planet. Dubai is one of the richest countries in the world, and it is argued that it contains the richest people in the world as well. This is thought of by many as the Luxury capital of the world.

First of all Dubai wanted to create the most luxurious hotel on the entire planet. They built the stunning Burj Al Arab. This hotel reaches high up into the sky at around 341 metres in height. It was built resemble a sail on a Dhow, which is a type of Arabian vessel. Even the hotel itself is built upon a man made island. This self proclaimed 7 star hotels is the only one of it’s kind across the world, and when you can see what the rooms look like, its difficult to disagree with them. The Royal Suite at the Burj Al Arab will cost you around 28 thousand dollars. Considering the luxuriousness of this hotel, it probably won’t come as much of a surprise to hear that it has a 990,000 litre aquarium at the centre of it’s restaurant.

Next for the Big One, the building that had construction started in 2004 and is still not quite finished. The Burj Dubai is the tallest building in the world, standing close to 1km at 818 metres tall. The previous tallest building was the KVLY-TV mast which towered at just over 628 metres. I wouldn’t have thought that a building will be built higher than this for quite some time. With construction taking over 4 years, they are hoping to finish it by the end of 2009, although things may not go to plan. The average cost per square metre will cost in the region of 43,000 dollars, meaning the whole office will be around 1 million dollars upwards.

Dubai holidays are on the rise, but for those that want to travel here, make sure you save up a fair amount. Christmas holidays expect to benefit from this, but with competition from areas like Maldives holidays, they may have trouble getting the tourists.

Travel the world, and finish in Dubai!

When I was travelling around the world, I saved the majority of my money for a final stop and a holiday location. This was going to be a holiday that I could just relax on rather than working while I travelled. I really wanted to make my final stay to be in Dubai, and had saved up just enough. I don’t really want to let you know how much, but I worked like stink throughout the 6 month travelling period.

I hadn’t really realised how much this was actually going to cost me to stay here. After walking down Sheikh Zayed road, it became clear how much some of these hotels were going to cost, totalling around 300 pounds a night. This I couldn’t really afford, so I scoured the rest of the city in search of something a little more in my price range. There were quite a few hotels and on my travels, I managed to find the perfect one. A four star hotel called the Copthorne hotel Dubai.

The rooms in here looked fantastic, it was basically a luxury hotel. It only cost 80 dollars a night, which meant I could stay for about a week. I investigated everything I could possibly visit. I took a walk along the Jumeira beach and saw the artificial landscaping of the hotels and villas. Then there was the Burj Al Arab, what an iconic piece of engineering. Unfortunately I could not enter, apparently the food and drink costs more than my room does for the week.

I can’t even begin to tell you how great the food was, i was surprised that it was better than places like Sri lanka or Thailand. I plan on going back on Dubai holidays more often, Maldives holidays and Sri Lanka holidays will be the next on the list. These are the holidays that I recommend to you, they are by far the best in the world (in my opinion).
