I drive a full size van and have five small children for passengers. Every time (and I mean every time) I park, someone blocks my side entry doors so that I can not get the children back in the van. I finally broke down and bought a decal, that says to please stay clear of side access doors, but it was actually made for handicap vans and passengers and so there is a universal wheel chair picture on it. I can cut the picture off of it, but frankly feel it would be more effective if left on. I hate to have to go to these measures, but this is such a problem. People are just so inconsiderate of others. How would people feel if I parked so close to their cars that they couldn’t get into the driver’s side of their car?
At this stage I don’t want to go spending a fortune on one of those chairs that lifts up, as we don’t know how long I will be in this state. Meantime I am trying to work out what to get to help me to get out of my chair. I had thought a walking frame or something, but I don’t know if there is something more suitable. All advice will be gratefully received.
