Dumb ass, TGI Fridays shut down this location because they were serving alcohol to minors!!!

Yes…let’s ride around in a late model Cadillac and make doom and gloom predictions about the US. Geez.

So what’s your point? Nancy Pelosi was just on TV saying artists can now quit their jobs and focus on their art and not worry about health insurance because the American taxpayer will foot the bill! Did you vote for obama? Socialism baby, is the new trend. He’ll master plan the economy and everything is gonna be allllllright!

thank you for telling the truth. this country is run by overseas banks and they don’t give a shit about anyone but the super rich and the banks.

Businesses come and go…don’t be misled. El Paseo is alive and booming. If you want to start a business in Palm Desert, connect with the Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce or the City of Palm Desert. Many of our business owners have taken the opportunity to retire, leaving vacancies that can be profitable for investors. Despite the economy in the rest of the country, 2010 still had record breaking numbers of visitors.

I think this definately acts as a barometer of current and coming conditions. If these huge stores cannot make it in such an affluent area with a lot of expendable income, then how will anyone make it anywhere? Things are going to get far, far worse.

this is not JUST in california, Ask your city officials who got the contracts to build all this shit ? 1/3 of our retail in gone Kentucky! We need to start with city and local officials…….NO jobs hang out at city hall. Learn some names you will soon find out who got the contracts

More Globalisation. Taxes are used to eliminate the competition. The middle class falls with it.
The irony is that when they finally control everything there will be nobody available to buy their products because all the people will be in poverty.

Sounds like it would help to have friends in government to have a successful business in California. Don’t they do this in south America too?

Another eye-opening vid, Geo. It would be great to see a follow up in about a month and see what’s changed. It would be interesting to try and get an idea of how fast things are deteriorating.

I see the next phase in this economic collapse will be the real estate (many sources projected this)…..and California is the first, along with New York, Florida, and Michigan.

And the major news stations will barely or never cover this….pathetic. Thanks again Mr. George.

Hey George, just heard on the radio that on Valentine day Hollywood Toyota Florida is going to accept gold and scrap gold for cars.

  17. 17 speakwhileyoucan said at 6:11 pm on July 14th, 2010:

As was mentioned in the vid- … and we don’t have any representation as they are bought by corporate/business…. The politicians have become “whores” of big business.

Agreed- Politicians from both parties ignore the tax payers while gladly “servicing their business johns” for their own power and pretended prestige.

Good vid… and a sobering commentary of a “corrupted to the core” machine.

This makes me want to cry. I moved to Washington. My son still lives there and I see 17 years of my life shut down. I had to get out of Cali. It makes me so sad. I raised my family there and have walked up and down El Paseo, my daughter worked at Augusta, I don’t know if there still open. Keep up your work and God Bless You!

California will probably have to be broken into 2 or 3 smaller states. The policies of the people in the southern areas are wrecking it for the whole state.
