Disneyland “California Sun” TV Commercial

From approx 1987, comes one of my favorite “nationwide” Disneyland televistion commercials produced by Disney that sold not only Disneyland, but Southern California as a vacation destination. Features a revised version of the Ramones’ famous hit “California Sun.”

    I saw this commercial countless times when living in Idaho. This is what made “California Sun” one of my favorite songs.

    I was 13 or 14 years old when this commercial ran after my family moved from Los Angeles to Seattle, and it made me REALLY miss sunny California… cuz it rains A LOT up there.

    I still remember this ad – it was from the year I went to Disneyland the 3rd time. Star Tours had only just opened and Captain EO was fairly new. One of the better Disneyland promotions!
