i LOVE darien lake! what was the first ride you went on???
haha really??? lol did u go to see mitchel musso???
i was there that day
a while lol! instead of having the que lines that u see everyday where u can change the course of it…. viper uses the land in between it and ha only one path lol! when the ride opened in 1982 that line was FULL!!! with 3 trains running lol!
How long does it actually take to get to Viper. LOL
lol! thats funny! I think my sister is going that day… if you hear Greece Arcadia Middle School 7th Grade Band… thats her group… i used to be in the ARMS Orchestra but i went to High school… and we dont do that cause our teacher does not want to either bring 2 groups at once or go 2 diffrent days…
And before I read your description, I was like, “How ironic; it was pooring that day.”**
In reference to the video’s song choice, of course. ^_^
I went on this exact day last year for the overnight stay due to the music comp.
And before I read your description, I was like, “How ironic; it was pooring that day.” I got blasted with rain going on the Superman.
And yet, what an awesome day that was, though the ride home on the bus was scary due to such rain. Going on June 5th for the competition again, I believe.
thank god
it has gotten better in the past year! and they have been working on retracking all year! and plan on doing it this year to… so its going to get alot better!!! but they can only do so much! new trains have been in discussion!!!! which might help! get lighter trains and maybe less bumpy!
the only ride I hate at Darien Lake is the Predator, that ride is torture.
when i was little i went there with my older cousin and my two sisters because one was too young to go there and the other one had a broken arm anaways my cousin and sisters got drenched on the pink and blue swings
lol yeah XD the first time we watched the show it was PURING rain outside and we just wanted to stay dry XD
really wasnt special that show, the only reason we would go in to it was for the AC lol
thats exactly why we would only go up 2 times a year when six flags owned darien, we would usually camp for 3-4 days in july and go back up for the day in august, the prices were way to outrageous, glad its finally private owned, hopefully it will stay open, have a ton of great memorys at darien lake
some one better get a new camera soon or I will get sick soon!
lol cool! yeah if i knew there would be that people we would of gotten closer lol!
i was the are saw mitchel i was like closer than you i waited through rain and stuff for my spot!
i never really cared bout the six flags stuff! and they neglected the park in its last few years! There plan was to hope the park closes in the next couple of years!!!!! thats exactly what happened to Guaga Lake! look at it now! And the prices where to high! even though i had a season pass this year i like the new prices lol! and Six flags never really put to much Six Flags stuff into the park! the only thing was Super-man and bat-man!
Why? When Six Flags sold it to PARC Manegment, they renamed the “Superman: Ride of Steel” ride to just “Ride of Steel” and painted over the Superman logo on the trains. Also, you know that warehouse near the Viper with the city painted on it? It was once used for this show called the “Batman Thrill Spectacular”, which I never got to see and probably never will?
i sure the hell don’t!
I wish this park was still owned by Six Flags.
Very true. Nothing beats an original
I was my first upside down roller coaster ever! I still love it, and you’re right! The line always goes quickly.
Arrow Loopers were real popular in the 80′s. And Viper broke a record for most inversions in a roller coaster (5) So in it’s innagural season, the line would’ve rapped around the park a time or 2, lol. But Arrow Loopers capacity’s are so large, you’d probably never have to wait more then an hour and half or so. Especially when Viper ran 3 trains. once a train cleared the lift, another could be dispatched because of the block section befoer the corkscrew. sorry for rambling, lol
it was built in 1982 making it 26 years old! but there are coasters way older like “The Jack Rabbit” Built In 1920 making it 88 years old! and is still operating to this day!
