The statement that magnetic copper bracelets "have been proven to have beneficial effects on pain, inflammation and other joint and muscle problems" is simply not true.

The research shows that these things are not effective. Hence:

"People who experience persistent and disabling pain may be especially vulnerable to misleading claims relating to unproven treatments...Our results indicate that magnetic and copper bracelets are generally ineffective for managing pain, stiffness and phsyical function...reported therapeutic benefits are most likely attributable to non-specific placebo effects".

Source: Richmond et al (2009)Therapeutic effects of magnetic and copper bracelets in osteoarthritis: a randomised placebo-controlled crossover trial. Complementary Therapies in Medicine. 17, 249-256. Link: http://linkinghub.elsevier.com/retrieve/pii/S0965229909000569

Don't believe the hype. This is simply an thinly veiled advert to sell something that doesn't work.

I'm not sure which airlines allow wheelchair passengers off the plane first? Actually that would be a real pain as everyone else on the plane would have to wait. Also a lot of times in Europe they have boarded my husband last! Not fun having everyone watch as he struggles to transfer from the ridiculously small aisle chair to the seat.

I am thinking of San Francisco vactaion this year. I usually rent a car and have been using Thrifty.com with promo coupon RAD10 for 10% off car rental. Anyone know of any other better deals? I would like to save as much money as possible.

When in Bali, never use your left hand when giving or receiving objects, which is considered taboo; do not beckon people with your finger and this is very rude.

In 1906 the Netherlands took control of Bali. During the Dutch capture of the island many thousands of Balinese were killed. Puputan Square in Denpasar is named after the suicidal battle of the Balinese aristocracy in their struggle against the Dutch.

Bali is definitely a good choice. But I prefer Thailand to Bali because of many reasons. It provides an ultimate sea view and coral reefs. I stayed there last month and found it really great. mainly Koh Samui Thailand has stolen the show.
