What happened to Nazi soldiers who lost limbs or became disabled in the war ?

Or developed a mental illness as a result of war ? Were they sent to concentration camps or killed off like the other Germans ? Did it depend on how high they ranked or how bad their condition was ?

One of high rank (considered a hero, due to how he got his injuries – losing an eye) came very close to assassinating Hitler.

It was the congenitally physically and mentally disabled that were targeted for euthanasia by the Nazis,as they were seen as a threat to a strong Germanic bloodline.

Those that were injured or became mentally ill due to wartime effects were not congenitally disabled,so their racial purity was not in question,so they wouldn’t have been sent to camps or deliberately killed.
