About

We’re here to ensure that disabled people can benefit from enriching and fun travel experiences along with their able bodied family and friends.  We invite you to contact us to share your personal travel tips and experiences.

The number of people with disabilities is growing worldwide for a variety of reasons.  In many parts of the world, the population is aging.  As the years pass, they take their toll on people who previously had no disabilities with respect to travel.  In some, the senses lose their acuity, in others arthritis makes movement more difficult and in an increasing number the pulmonary system begins to impose stamina problems associated with years living in a polluted world.  Other people have spent their entire lives adapting to a world that has not been constructed with them in mind.

One advantage that we all have in our growing numbers is that those in the hospitality industries are beginning to recognize that disabled people make up a huge market of prospective customers.  Travel agencies, tour guides, accommodations operators and even transportation companies are becoming increasingly interested in meeting our travel needs.  Granted, most do not do so out of an altruistic spirit of helping a fellow human to enjoy a fuller life, but, if their greed makes our lives richer at the same time, then I welcome it.

Partly due to the determination of our predecessors and partly due to advances in technology, the world now offer us travel opportunities that did not exist a generation ago.  As the disabled population grows more diverse so too do the travel options that are open to all.  It is indeed a good time to be alive and to be curious about the world around us.
